There’s a Massage for Every Mom this Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day, as you very well should know, is on Sunday, May 14 in 2017. This year, we’d like to recommend a massage that works for every mom in your life. (And all Zeel Massages are delivered right to Mom – because a commute shouldn’t be part of a great Mother’s Day massage present.)

Gym Mom

If Mom is a huge fan of her weekly “Soul” class (substitute Pilates, Flywheel, PureBarre, or any other strenuous workout), she is likely no stranger to exercise-related aches and pains. That makes her a perfect candidate for a Zeel sports massage. A Zeel sports massage involves both deep tissue massage and assisted stretching, including neck stretches and leg stretches.

Almost Mom

For pregnant women, a prenatal massage is the way to go. A prenatal (also called a pregnancy massage) is ideal for easing the various discomforts associated with pregnancy, like cramps and lower back pain. If it’s her first trimester of pregnancy, make sure she checks with her doctor before getting her massage.

Stressed Mom

When you’re stressed, your muscles tense up and become stiff.  That’s because of the fight or flight response, which causes adrenalin to surge.  That’s why stress causes muscle knots, along with back pain, muscle pain, and other symptoms, like migraine headaches. The cure for these woes: a deep tissue massage. Deep tissue massages target the knots in the neck, shoulders, back, and pain, leading to pain relief and a boost in serotonin, the “happy hormone.”

Sleepless Mom

From long hours at the office to rowdy kids, there are many things that can keep Mom awake at night. A Swedish massage, also called a relaxation massage, is just the ticket to dreamland. The Swedish massage technique is fantastic for reducing stress, improving circulation, and inducing a sense of well-being – all beneficial for catching up on sleep at night.

Multiple Moms

Need to give a gift to many moms at once? Having a Mother’s Day party? Consider doing a chair massage event – the best way to gift massage to a group. A massage therapist from Zeel will arrive with a massage chair and supplies, ready to give massages of about 10 to 15 minutes each in length, concentrating on the upper back, neck, and arms.

Any Mom

Of course, if you aren’t sure what preference Mom has for a massage technique, but would still like to give her a blissful and relaxing gift this holiday, there’s always a massage gift card.  You can print a Zeel gift certificate to put in a nice gift basket, or if you’re in a last-minute pinch, you can have it emailed to her with a thoughtful, personal message. Then, she can choose which massage she likes best.

Happy Mother’s Day!
