Still trying to figure out how to approach that New Years resolution to reduce the stress in your life? Taking up a mindfulness practice is the perfect place to start. Just a few minutes a day with a routine as simple as focusing on your own breath can reduce blood pressure, slow heart rate, and improve your overall sense of wellbeing. And the best part is, the more you do it, the better it works.
This mindfulness session with Yemsrach Tekleksadik is designed to give you the tools to use mindfulness to manage your daily stress. So if you’re feeling like thins are just a little too much right now, this is the meditation for you.
Yemsrach Tekleksadik is an engineer turned meditation teacher. After receiving her engineering degree from Cornell University, she worked in the corporate world for almost 10 years, where she experienced first-hand the impact that stress has on the mind and the body. Her search for a happier and healthier life led her to meditation and yoga, which she was determined to share with others. She got certified and began teaching meditation to others in 2018 and has never been happier. When she’s not leading a meditation class, Yemsrach can be found drinking a glass of Cabernet with friends or going for a run in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
